Resolution #14: Use This Facebook Scheme As An Excuse To Make More Physical Art...

Date: 1-14-2014

Due Date: 1-14-2014

Resolution: I normally hate these copy and paste this message posts, but I want to get back into painting and other art projects other than writing so here goes something!

I, Bunker, promise to send a small work of art for the first ten people who comment on this post and comment something along the lines of "Yes, I want in" or something way more creative than that. A “like” alone is not enough.

You must in turn post this as your status update and make something for the first ten people who comment they want in on your status.

The rules are simple: it has to be your work, made by you and the recipient must receive it by the end of 2014. It can be anything: a drawing, photo, video, a conceptual work of art… or anything in between...

Woo chain mail crafts!

How you can help: I need eight more people. Track the post down on Facebook if you want to play along. If I'm not friends with you on Facebook let make an art swap deal down in the comment section.

Result #14: This One I'm Sending To Redemption Until I Get Back Into Painting…

Gift #1 The Scarf I knitted for Rachel.

Date: 2-24-2014

Since I only found two people to officially play along with this resolution, they will be getting an arts/craft gift from me. As for the remaining eight art/craft gifts I'm going to give those to whoever I feel like.

This first gift will go to the person who taught how to make it.

Below are the steps that went into the making of my first scarf.

Thanks Rachel!

Gift #2: Duct Tape Apron For Adam.

Date: 3-17-2014

The other day I made a duct tape apron as part of Resolution #52 and gave it to a friend as a birthday gift. Since I modified this resolution to no longer require a gift in exchange I figured this counts as an arts and crafts gift.

Gift #3: Duct Tape Raincoat and Hat For Boomie

Date: 12-10-2015

In another two-fer I not only completed another project from my Ductigami book but being that I gave it as a gift it counts toward this resolution as well.

Below is the Mac n' Cheese / One Direction raincoat and hat that I made for my friend's dog Boomie.

Update #4: Conclusion…

Date: 12-10-2015

This resolution started out strong… but then I was hit by a mid-life crisis… where I ended up burning all my bridges in Seattle before moving back home to San Diego… where I barely had the energy to interact with others… let alone… go out of my way to make others crappy crafts that they probably don’t want…

Sorry for the negative outlook… I’ll come around someday and hopefully get back to a place where I have others in my life… who might appreciate my efforts… that’s not to say the recipients above didn’t appreciate their gifts… though I’ve gone silent… I still have fond memories of the people from my secondary hometown… that I used to love… but has become too heartbreaking to even think of…
