Operation Achieve Anything: Day Ninety-Six, Dateline 4-6-2018

Commitment unlocks the doors of imagination, allows vision, and gives us the right stuff to turn our dreams into reality.
— James Womack

Good Afternoon Crickets!!! Welcome to day number ninety-six of Operation Achieve Anything. It’s Friday so I plan to put in a little extra work and double down on my efforts to get enough done to take the weekend off, or at least going a bit easier like I’ve started to do towards the end of last month. Granted, there are several daily tasks that are unavoidable but this new trend to take my weekends back has helped me not feel as burnt out as often as I have been in the past, where every day was exactly the same 24/7/365/(366 on Leap Years.)

Unfortunately, I wasn’t all that inspired by yesterday’s assignment that claimed that there was no such thing as luck and how even though it can seem that way, it’s the actions that got the person to be in the right place at the right time that are to credit for success over things just magically happening. Though I agree with this concept to an extent, I also believe that luck is actually involved especially when it comes to creative ventures where the road to success is filled with wild cards.

I do agree that when luck does come into play that it does not good unless the person involved has the talent and ability to take what luck brought and then run with it but, as empowering as it may sound, no one is 100% in control of the outcome of their efforts. That said, I also believe that you can’t count on the concept of work in plotting a path to success.

There was no real task to go along with this assignment, I was just supposed to reflect on the quote of the day and start envisioning myself to be lucky whether or not it is true since luck is pretty much a placebo of a concept when it comes to reaching your goals. That said, I’d say that I’ve successfully met the challenge.

For today’s assignment, we’re still on the theme of envisioning success and I am now supposed to envision a more realistic path to success than I have in the past, where these paths were allowed to be more other-earthly, and then come up with an oath to commit to making this plan a reality. This may involve looking up what goes into writing an actual oath and not just slap something together off the top of my head.

As always, you’ll have to wait for tomorrow’s update in order to see what I manage to come up with. Until then, it’s now time for me to wrap this up with my usual sign off and say, good day and good luck to you and all of your projects.

Talk to you soon.

Sincerely,

The Wicker Breaker
