Operation Achieve Anything: Day Two-Hundred-Sixty-Seven, Dateline 9-24-2018

An easy life doesn’t teach us anything. In the end, it’s learning that matter - what we’ve learned and how we’ve we’ve grown.
— Richard Bach

Good afternoon crickets. Welcome to day number two-hundred-sixty-seven of Operation Achieve Anything. Yesterday I woke with cold-like symptoms and joked to myself that this meant the season of heat is finally over. Today, looking out through my open door provided evidence that it might have been right as a see a beautiful overcast sky and a pleasant feel of the temperature as the outside air blows by.  Hopefully, this weather will hold up because I have much more energy when I’m cold.

It’s also interesting timing how this cold popped up at the tail end of the Achieve Anything… book’s latest recycled theme that you have to actively put effort into the goals you’re trying to accomplish and not just imagine your way to the top. Part of me feels that this current cold is my body telling me I need to slow down for a minute.

Ever since I’ve started to use my FitBit again, it shows that I’m only getting a daily average of four hours of sleep. Even yesterday when I wrapped up my obligations, I wanted to crawl back in bed to possible sleep off the sickness but still ended up putting in at least four hours of behind the scenes work for this blog. I don’t know if I should fight through this bout of coughing, sneezing, and sniffles to overcome it on my terms, or give in and give into my bodies signs that it needs more rest whether or not this is a psychosomatic issue that’s just in my head.

Yesterday’s assignment was another recycled task as, once again, the book shifts back to how important it is to always be learning something new.  Yes, this is sound advice, but it’s also at least the third time that it’s come up as a task, making it ironic how the book is now trying to tell me to try something new via an old assignment that I’ve already done before. Since as I said yesterday, the new project that I will be debuting within the next couple of month is based on my obsession with online education, I’ll consider yesterday’s assignment to be fulfilled.

Today’s assignment is actually a fun one, I just wish that I was brought up the very first time the book introduced the idea of how it necessary to always be learning new things if you want to be a successful person. The actual task is to look back over my life and note the conditions of my life during periods where I learned the most. An example that the book gave was how some people will only seek out training in times of crisis in an effort to improve their financial situation with a promotion or completely switch the work field. Meanwhile, other people may only learn when things are going well since they need a sense of safety before they can fully focus on school.

Of course, I will share where I feel that I fit within this learning style spectrum, but you’ll have to wait for tomorrow’s post to see what I manage to come up with. Until then, it’s now time for me to sign off as usual by saying, good day and good luck to you and all or your projects.

Talk to you soon.

Sincerely,

The Wicker Breaker
