Resolution #299: Collage This Eye Sore Of A White Wall...

Date: 10-26-2014

Due Date: 10-26-2015

The Resolution: I love my tiny apartment. The only thing that sucks about apartment living is that you often have to live with boring white walls.

Well when I say the only thing that sucks, I mean about the sanctuary within the wall of the abode. If you take the entire complex into account then there are tons of things that suck about apartment living, especially the counterfeit service dog that does nothing but bark all day.

Anyway, all the other walls are nicely decorated with art. This giant white wall didn't look so off-putting when most of it was covered by my old entertainment center.

Now that I've started to convert my living space to be more studio-like and less living room looking; every time I look over my shoulder while working at the computer I see nothing but blah.

I don't know if I need more stimulation but I want more. When I get stuck in thought and look off to the side I want to be able to gaze at a collection of imagery that may trigger my next move.

So, rather than hang a few pieces of art, I decided to fill the space with art in one giant collage.

Result #299: I No Longer Live In The Same Apartment… And Now… No Longer Have The Wall That’s Required To Complete This Task…

Update #1: The Conclusion…

Date: 10-26-2015

It's weird to think at this time last year the thought of moving still had yet to cross my mind. I thought for sure that I was going to live in that apartment for years to come, leaving me plenty of time to collage the one empty wall in the place. It was about a week after I set this resolution that I decided I couldn't take my life in Seattle anymore and that when I decided to move.

I'm now living in a space that doesn't have as many walls to cover so there are no blank spots to collage, which I think is actually good this because I'm not sure I actually want chaotic clutter that could have been.
