Resolution #306: Learn How To Really Use A Camera And Develop Film...

Date: 11-2-2014

Due Date: 11-2-2015

The Resolution: I hate to admit this but after five years of working on movies in the lighting department, working very closely with the camera department, I still have no idea what all the settings on a camera actually mean.

I'm sure this lack of knowledge shows in the crappy cellphone shots that I share to show the progress of my resolutions.

I figure, since I don't plan on giving up blogging anytime soon, I really need to figure out how to finally use a camera to give the site a more professional appearance.

I added the element of learning how to develop film because it sounds interesting and may lead to another form of art that brings pleasure to my life.

Result #306: I Failed To Find A Film Camera… But That's Probably Because I Failed To Look…

Update #1: The Conclusion…

Date: 11-2-2015

I really wish I was more into photography than I actually am. Other than the crappy pictures that I take for posts on this site, I rarely photograph anything else. I had an earlier resolution to learn to legitimately use my digital camera in hopes that I would carry over my findings to the film world.

Unfortunately… I never got around to taking said digital photography class which is partially to blame for the failure I'm reporting today. Maybe someday the bug will bite and break the skin developing a passion for capturing images. If that day does come I will let you know by sharing the first batch of photos I develop with my own hands.

Hopefully… this will happen sooner rather than later.
