Due Date: 11-22-2015

The Resolution: Am I alone in finding that the headstand has taken over firewalking as a sign of overcoming adversity? I don't know why… but this idea is very amusing to me right now. I guess I'll add it to the list!

Result #326: Some Days It Feels Hard Enough To Stand On My Feet… Let Alone Stand On My Head…

Update #1: The Conclusion…

Date: 11-22-2015

I was focusing on fitness at the time I initially set this resolution and was actually getting back in shape. I was actually working out on a regular basis and losing a lot of the weight that I recently gained after giving up on my career as a "filmmaker," where the work was physical enough to keep me in shape. Even though I was depressed, I had energy and felt I had it in me to keep the progress going and get to the point where I could stand on my head as a symbol of my success.

Then I moved from Seattle to San Diego where I spent months putting weight back on because I was too depressed to do anything. I figured out a way to work from home so that didn't help my situation. I was feeling stuck.

I'm still depressed by how I dealt with things before I left but I finally think I'm ready to move forward. I'm in the process of trying to stop escaping and start figuring out where to go from here. I still have low energy but I also have a bike that I'm trying to be more active in general.

Hopefully, as more things start to come together, I'll start getting my enthusiasm toward life back which will lead to me having energy and actually wanting to be active instead of seeing it as a chore as I struggle to find my place on this planet. When this happened I will revisit this idea of standing on my head as a symbol of success.

As always, I'll keep you posted on how things turn out.
