Resolution: Considering that I just started to learn to draw a couple of months ago, this resolution has nothing to do with fantasies of making a career change.

I don't even know if I'd ever feel confident or comfortable enough to tattoo an actual person.

Right now I'm just interested in art in any form.

When I was searching Amazon for potential resolutions I found this $40 tattoo starter kit. Then I saw the Learn to Tattoo DVD in the top right corner of the image and I was sold. Especially when I also saw you can purchase tattoo practice skins.

I doubt I'll ever actually tattoo a person, but, who knows, if I start now maybe this will eventually lead to fantasies of making a career change.

Update #1: The Arrival Of The Gun… And… My First Attempt To Tattoo Fake Skin!!!

I ordered and received my tattoo gun about a month ago. Unfortunately, I've been too busy to put it together until today.

Originally I was planning to put the gun together and share that I received it and call it a day.

Once I clicked the foot peddle and heard the buzz of the needle; I could resist taking it for a test drive.

I opened the bag of practice skin and just went at it freehand.

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty impressed with how this came out.

I can't wait to try again. Next time I will create an outline first and learn about the different needles and techniques to get the coloring and shading down.

I was hesitant at first but now I'm very excited to add this to the list of artistic endeavors that I've gotten myself into this year.

Update #2: Thanksgiving... And… No… That's Not A Swastika On That Turkey…

This is the result of Resolution #321 where I tattooed my Thanksgiving Turkey.

Keep in mind this tattoo is done with a single needle outlining set up. After I got done with it I was pretty happy with my work, especially after seeing my first attempt for the first time in almost a year.

I'm interested to see what I can do with a selection of needles.

I'll let you know if I ever get around to that.
