/One more night of shitty sleep before I get to test to see if I've figured out my cure thanks to the help of my trusty Fitbit. It all started a couple weeks ago when I switched to a cheap brand of medical vaporizer cartridge. The dispensary had a deal going for five where you were pretty much getting one for free. Being that I was broke and that this would be over a month supply I had to give it a shot.
I wouldn't say that the deal was too good to be true because I've found very successful strains at a pretty similar price range, it was just that extra one that put me over the top in my decision to make this selection. That, and the stuff does work to get me high, it just didn't end up helping me with my sleep.
Now, this is where I thank my Fitbit. As someone who is bipolar, I really need to regulate my sleep. Due to the fact that the Fitbit can measure both quantity and quality, I can pinpoint the moment that a sleep issue is triggered, allowing me to figure out what might have changed.
Take for example, what happened when I switch my brand of weed:
Now, before I had the fit bit, I would have figured something else was going on inside my head because as you can see the hours I put into slumber would feel almost exactly the same. The Fitbit allows me to see the quality, where you can see starting on March 27th, the exact date of the switch, that my sleep instantly falls to shit.
Having this as evidence allows me to quickly diagnose my sleep issues, figure out what I changed around the time the sleep issue and then quickly readjust to attempt to resolve the issue before it goes on too long.
Surprisingly, this is the first time that I've had these serious issues with sleep quality since getting the Fitbit as a gift. Now that I know what it looks like, hopefully, I'll be able to make these adjustments more quickly in the future or at least start to make earlier attempts.
Hopefully, switching back to a better brand of medical vaporizer will be all that it takes to get me back to the point where I am sleeping soundly all the way through the night because I can truly feel the difference in what's going on inside of my head and now see even more of a connection between the quality of sleep I receive and my overall outlook on life.
I'll talk to you tomorrow, on payday, when some recreational fun will also begin!!!
Cheers,
The Wicker Breaker
