Dateline 6-14-2017

I think the technology gods have finally been put in their place as I now have a steady internet connection again for the first time in about a month. I hope I'm not cursing myself by cursing said gods of circuitry because there have been several days during this process where I thought I'd be experiencing smooth sailing as the internet would settle for a day or two.

I think this time is different because one, we had a technician who came out and gave us a new modem and after that didn't work, we updated the firmware to our WiFi router which turned out to be the true culprit to our shoddy connection. Not only that but I also got a new range extender since my last one broke and now not only is the stream steady but it's also now actually high speed instead of just enough to get by.

Once again, my sense of inner peace is growing as this exterior stressor is finally under control and between me and the people I live with, we now have the tools to fix any similar issues that may come up in the future because up until now, the issue felt out of my hand because my name is not on the bill so I had to pester others to attempt to deal with the issue which is hard for me, as a person who doesn't want to be a burden.

Now, my SNL reviews will hopefully get back to being a two/two and a half hour experiment instead of the all-day affair that it's grown to be with all of these issues. We'll see how long this lasts but until then, I'm just going to enjoy it and continue to get back into the go with the flow mentality that made life more tolerable than living for a future that I'm not sure I even want.
