One Creative Introvert’s Effort To Take On The Extroverted Marketing World…

Welcome to day number one-hundred-eight of 365 Days Of Marketing And Me… where I spent last night fixing a few errors that I found with the help of Google Search Console… a tool that I have only casually used until I learned new ways to use it a couple of weeks ago… when I learned that there is more to the console than just a way to hunt down glaring errors…

Now… instead of only focusing on the “Error” and “Valid with warnings”… since most of those problems have been resolved… I also spend time fixing problems from the “Excluded” tab… which I originally thought was filled with pages that were supposed to be ignored… until I looked deeper and found a section called “Discovered - currently not indexed”… where all of my pages with renamed URLs now live…

It wasn’t until I started to manually request reindexing of these “Discovered” pages that I noticed my traffic really started to return… unfortunately… there’s a limit to where you can only request ten reindexings in a day… so… it’s going to take a while for me to resubmit all 2000 unindexed pages… and I can’t wait for this task to be done…

Until then… this concludes my introduction to the day… now let’s move on to see how I handled the theme from yesterday…

According to the 365 Days Of Marketing book… yesterday was Cheese Ball Day… and rather than opt to go technical with this one by equating the term “cheese ball” with “goofball”… I decided to go literal and bought a couple of cheese balls at the store… and then ate them both as my main meal for 24 hours…

It felt weird eating these in the summertime because I typically save cheese balls to be and Thanksgiving/Christmas treat…

With that… I’m going to consider today’s theme taken care of… now let’s see what the book has in store for today…

The 365 Days Of Marketing book says that today is Newspaper Journalist Day… and I have no idea how I plan to handle this one… considering the fact that I stopped following the news altogether about three years ago… because of the shit show that our world has become… but… I’m sure that I’ll figure something out by around this time tomorrow…
