The other day I stumbled across the 2010 live-action version of Jack and the Beanstalk starring Gilbert Gottfried. I have a script in mind with a giant character, so I planned to watch this for research. I fired up the video and returned to my computer to do some other writing.

I was too focused on what I was writing to pay attention to the movie. When I looked over I found something about what I saw so fascinating that I had to shut it off. "We have a contender," I thought.

I was paying such little attention that I can't even begin to tell you what I found so fascinating because I'm not fully sure myself.

Though I do know the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, I don't know this movie's take on it. I also know Chevy Chase and Christopher Lloyd are in it, and I know what the poster looks like. I also know that adding Gilbert Gottfried into the mix will make my descent into madness I little more interesting.

I still have a couple of days to decide but right now it between this and Southland Tales.
