Resolution: At some point within the year I'm going to buy an all-access weekend pass to ride as many forms of public transportation Seattle has to offer.  

I will then walk out of my apartment and hop on the first bus I see.

To keep it random I will never give out my location but ask questions like; Right or Left? How many stops before I get off the bus? Should I get on an odd or even-numbered bus? And so forth and so on until I end up in the middle of Timbuktu.

Though I will be silent and secretive on the day, I'll be sure to take plenty of notes and pictures to share upon my return.

Update #1: The Conclusion…

You know the first time I ever stepped foot on a bus was when I was 21 living in Seattle. I grew up in San Diego where I don't know if I've ever even seen a bus. Now that I'm a walker in Southern California, I've seen bus stops but I've still yet to see an actual bus.

Maybe that's why this resolution skipped my mind.

Now that I'm revisiting this resolution to report on its failure I'm more fascinated by the concept than when I first set it. Unfortunately, I didn't have time between rediscovering this resolution last night and this evening to get it done.

Someday soon, once the heat dies down, I'm going to go to bed nice and early to wake up early and head out on a day-long venture using nothing but public transportation.
