Operation Achieve Anything: Day Two, Dateline 1-2-2018

It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.
— J.K. Rowling

Yesterday ended up being a drag of a day being that I celebrated a little too hard on New Year's Eve, after napping through the actual year change over by five minutes which gave me the energy to then stay up until damn near noon finishing the leftover booze. There was a while where I started to get super nervous that I might end up sleeping through the entire day of this new Operation Achieve Anything challenge, but I ended up fitting it in with plenty of time to spare.

Luckily, as I expected, the first day of my daily achievement planning book was super easy to warm your feet. All that the book required of me was that I go to the store and buy a notebook, which was extra easy for me because I already have a bag full of notebooks since I love taking handwritten notes.

Though I'm feeling much better today, I still think I'll need at least one more sleep in order to fully recover from overdrinking. Thankfully, today is another light day as far as the achievement book goes since all it is asking of me is to observe my choices and sort out the types of choices that limit me from the choices that nurture.

Right out the gate, the drinking is a limiting choice where even though I've gone from being a daily drunk to only drinking around twice a month; I'm planning to limit it even more. As for the nurturing choices, I have to say that I'm pretty proud of myself for sticking to a daily writing routine where I've written at least five pages a day going on five years with a bulk of it being for this blog.

It turns out that I have a pretty healthy blend of both good and bad habits, but the worst habit of the bunch is how I often end up overly focused on the negative choices that I often make while taking the positive ones for granted. Since I'm not reading ahead in my achievement, I'm not sure but, I'm guessing that this is the type of negative choice that I will work on correcting moving on at least during this early stage.

Who knows, all that I can say at this point is that I am very happy that this is starting rather slow since I may have overworked myself while wrapping things up from last year.  Now it's time to move on and watch today's episode of SNL. As always, I'll let you know how things turn out when I check in tomorrow with another update. Until then, it's now that time to say, good day and good luck to you and all of your projects.

Talk to you soon.

Sincerely,

The Wicker Breaker
