Operation Achieve Anything: Day One-Hundred-Twenty-Five, Dateline 5-5-2018

Life expectancy would grow by leaps and bounds if green vegetables smelled as good as bacon.
— Doug Larson

Good afternoon Crickets!!! Welcome to day number one-hundred-twenty-five of Operation Achieve Anything. It’s Saturday and if you read yesterday’s post, you won’t be surprised to find that I’m now hung over. You’ll also know that I spent yesterday celebrating the fact that I now have a permanent part-time job or at least more long-term than the past couple of gigs that I’ve been assigned. Because of that, I’m going to spend the next couple of days getting ahead of my blog obligations in order to make my first week of work a little less stressful. That is, after I fit in a nap.

Now let’s get into the Achieve Anything… assignments. For yesterday’s task, I was supposed to start being more physically active which sort of fulfilled by walking home from the store but was too buzzed to do much more. I do plan on using my Fit Bit again to at least use the feature that reminds me to get up and walk at least a little every single hour. I will really need this with my new job since I will be working from home making it easy to fall into the trap of sitting all day without much movement. So I will start to ramp up my efforts over the next couple of days.

Notice I said over the next couple of days because for today’s assignment, I’m supposed to give myself a cheat day, which might be the best-timed assignment to date since I was going to do this either way because now that I have a steady income that validates my existence, I’m going to do a lot more slacking on the weekends. Granted, this weekend I’m only slacking when it comes to anything Achieve Anything… book related since I will be building a backlog of SNL reviews to hopefully get enough under my belt so that any new viewing throughout the week will be optional.

As always, I’ll let you know how things turn out when I check in with tomorrow’s update. Until then, it’s now that time for me to say good day and good luck to you and all of your projects.

Talk to you soon.

Sincerely,

The Wicker Breaker

P.S. Below are links to my novel, which I plan to promote as part of Operation Achieve Anything, as well as a link to where you can buy the book that is providing the structure to this project in case you would like to purchase it in order to play along.
