One Creative Introvert’s Effort To Take On The Extroverted Marketing World…

Welcome to day number ninety of 365 Days Of Marketing And Me… where I’m still waiting on the power supply for my desktop computer which I ordered… WITH expedited shipping… over five weeks ago… oh the joys of having to go through the manufacturer for parts… but that seemed to be the only option this time… and I didn’t foresee there being this problem because there are multiple parts on their shelves… just waiting to go… according to their inventory…

Even the customer support person double-checked to see that there were multiple parts so that it shouldn’t be a problem… but they follow this information up by telling me that I’ll get an email in two to three days with an update… meanwhile… the expedited expectation claimed that the part would ship in one or two days… and I’m the one being treated like an asshole for not being patient…

I’m willing to bet… if I was a business and not an individual… I wouldn’t have to wait this long… but no… I’m just a person… needing one little part… so it’s okay for them to string me a long… so… I figured I’d use whatever voice I have to gripe about this here… since I do need my desktop computer to be working again… in order to move on to the next phase of this marketing project… when I’ll need a machine that’s powerful enough to run Photoshop… without slowing down every other process…

With that gripe… I’m going to consider the marketing portion of today to be done… so that I can move on to share how I handled the theme from yesterday…

According to the 365 Days Of Marketing book… yesterday was Pencil Day… and I’m going to celebrate with another round of shameless self-promotion of older content… once again… I’m going to resort to 365 Days Of Resolution as my resource… since I used pencils a lot over the two years that challenge ran…

My favorite of these drawing challenges was Resolution #173… where I worked through the book Learn How To Draw In 30 Days… below is a video that shows my effort and celebrated a successful resolution…

My second favorite pencil-based resolution came from me learning to draw the mask from Predator… and then throwing said mask of a penguin… to then sketch out a Predator Penguin quote of the day for Resolution 227…

I was also a fan of Resolution #172 where I drew a photo of Christopher Hewett… aka… Mr. Lynn Aloysius Belvedere… aka… Brocktune… in drag… once a month in order to gauge my drawing improvements…

Even though this may all be old… it still celebrates the theme for the day… while marketing my old work… so I’m going to consider this good… and move on to see what the book has in store for today…

The 365 Days Of Marketing book says that today is I Am In Control Day… which means… may have to put my foot down… if only I had someone to put my foot down to… considering the fact that I basically live all alone… and work from home on my own schedule… so I’m already pretty much in control… but I’m sure I’ll come up with something to write about by the time I return tomorrow…
