One Creative Introvert’s Effort To Take On The Extroverted Marketing World…

Welcome to day number ninety-nine of 365 Days Of Marketing And Me… where I’m still on a Big Brother Season One jag… thanks to the free 7-day trial of Paramount Plus that I signed up for… only last night… I went back to working on adding SEO to The Daily Breaker posts from 2015… doubling down on my interest in exploring the mundane aspect of this existence…

You’d think that since the task that I’m working on is so boring… that I’d want the opposite energy playing out on my TV screen… to keep me from falling asleep… but for whatever reason… when it comes to me… if you put me in a dull environment… I’ll turn anything into a game… which is why… I used to watch CSPAN when I was still writing scripts…

My guess as to what happens is that I work until… then I turn to the television for a bit of relief… only to end up getting bored again… having nowhere else to turn… I end up writing again to escape into my own little world…

At least that’s how I feel it works while I’m writing fiction… while working on these SEO tasks… I feel like… between the mundane Big Brother actions… from a season before the players knew how to manipulate the game… and the brainless tasks at hand… I end up in a hypnotic state where I’m able to focus on both and neither show and/or activity… so the time ends up just flying by…

And that concludes my introduction to the day… now let’s move on to see how I handled the theme from yesterday…

According to the 365 Days Of Marketing book… yesterday was Draw A Picture Of A Bird Day… and with that… here is a picture of a bird that I just drew… proving that drawing is not like bike riding where you can just pick up where you left off without any practice… though this drawing of an owl is terrible… it felt good to draw again… for the first time in quite a while…

Aside from today’s fresh drawing… I’m also going to take advantage of Draw A Picture Of A Bird Day by marketing Resolution #227 from 365 Days Of Resolution… where I drew a daily sketch of Predator Penguin… my favorite bird… who shared his favorite quote of the day…

And with that… I’m going to consider today’s theme taken care of… now let’s see what the book has in store for today…

The 365 Days Of Marketing book says that today is Name Yourself Day… which could be fun… considering the fact that The Wicker Breaker was a name that I gave myself back in the day when I stopped trusting the structural qualities of wicker furniture… I may have to share my potential pen name… or maybe I’ll come up with an entirely new name to celebrate… but… you’ll have to wait for tomorrow to find out what I commit to do…
