Resolution #123: Braille All Of The Cash That I Come Across...

Date: 5-3-2014

Due Date: 5-3-2015

Resolution: Before I had Amazon Prime I used to end up buying a lot of three to five-dollar tools to boost my purchase amount to $25 to receive free shipping. I stumbled upon this little device that stamps braille into money during one of my searches.

Unfortunately, it's not Prime eligible so it didn't count toward the free shipping offer and therefore sat in my shopping cart for years until… finally… I decided to buy one and turn it into a resolution.

And here we are today.

For the next year I braille all the money that I briefly own. I'm also going to talk to my boss and see if I can come in early once a week to stamp all the money at work as well.

As always, I'll keep you posted.

Result #123: Though This Wasn't As Big Of A Success As I Was Hoping For… I Still Successfully Brailled All Of The Cash That Went Through My Hands For A Year…

Update #1: The Conclusion…

Date: 5-3-2015

I was very excited about this resolution when I set it. I even waited until the money brailler that I ordered arrived before making my intents official. Even though I rarely have cash in my wallet, I was a supervisor at a drug store and handled stacks of money every day. I had a fantasy that I would be able to braille every dollar that went through the store.

When I approached my manager to see if he would approve, my delusional head thought that he would think this was a great idea. Being that it was a drug store that on paper promotes the well being of the community, I thought he'd see this as a positive way to get attention for the store.

Nope.

My manager just looked at me like I was crazy and denied my request.

Though I didn't get to braille any cash that belonged to the store, I did braille every bill that was officially mine, which for this resolution was the best I could do.
