Resolution #124: Write A 50,000 Word Novel Using Nothing But Auto-Suggested Words!!!

Date: 5-4-2014

Due Date: 5-4-2015

Resolution: Most of the time I just ignore it but recently I've become fascinated with the words my phone auto-suggests as I write texts or emails. The other day I was playing around and sending myself entire sentences made up of one word that I chose followed by words chosen by my phone.

That is when I decided that I must do something bigger with this.

And here we are today.

A few days ago I posted on my Facebook page asking for a random word to start a story with. My first response was "Nobody." Therefore I will be starting this story with the word "Nobody" and let my phone do the rest.

I've found that many of the suggestions from the phone can turn pretty mundane. When I find that the story is going nowhere I will either turn back to the list of suggestions made by my Facebook friends to spice it up. I will also utilize various search engines to break up any monotony.

You can help out by adding character names and more words in the comment section below.

I look forward to seeing what happens!

Result #124: This Ended Up Being Far Too Tedious… With Not Enough Reward… To Get Past A Couple Of Sentences... That I Didn't Even Keep… :(

Update #1: The Conclusion…

Date: 5-4-2015

As tedious and unrewarding as this resolution to auto-suggest a novel it is only slightly less tedious and unrewarding than anything else I've ever written. As soon as I have more time to focus on fewer projects, I am going to give this one another shot.
