Operation Achieve Anything: Day Sixty-Three, Dateline 3-4-2018

Every man has three characters - that which he exhibits, that which he has, and that which he thinks he has.
— Jean Baptiste Alphonse Karr

Good afternoon Crickets. Today is number sixty-three of Operation Achieve Anything and probably the latest post that I’ve made in quite a while. I know I just drank a couple of days ago to fulfill my new once-a-month drinking needs, but yesterday, I decided to use my birthday funds to buy some rum in order to truly live up this non-leap year’s festivities in an effort to have some fun.

Since I mainly stick to wine these days, the introduction of hard alcohol turned out to be rather rough, especially considering the fact that I polished off a half gallon in just a little over a twenty-four hour time period that ended with a huge rum and coke that I drank first thing in the morning.

Unfortunately, this only explains my late start, since it has absolutely nothing to do with yesterday’s assignment like how my introductions have unintentionally turned out over the past couple of days. Yesterday’s task was another uninspired one where once again, I was told to keep on keeping on and continue to treat people with kindness while noting their response.

Since this turned out to be a drinking day, I didn’t end up seeing anyone other than my little nephew who dropped by before I was drunk. I treated him well as usual and even reassured him that I wasn’t mad when he accidentally ripped down the curtains that cover my storage. I’m pretty sure that he thought I would be extra mad considering the fact that I always warn him of this inevitable outcome.

In general, I try to cut him a break, considering he is still going through a learning phase and isn’t doing what’s considered wrong on purpose. That said, I still get mad when he makes the same mistakes over and over again. Either way, we’re both continuing to grow and I find it nice to have this kid in my life who I’m helping to raise without being one-hundred percent responsible for the lessons he chooses to learn.

For today’s assignment, I’m supposed to break down my three personalities. The one I share with others, the one I am by myself and the one in the middle that I’m guessing is supposed to be the real me. At one point, I genuinely believed that a shrink I was seeing was going to diagnose me with a split personality so this assignment is hitting close to home with me.

As always, you’ll have to wait until tomorrow’s update to see what I manage to come up with. Until then, it’s now that time where I wrap this up by saying, good day and good luck to you and all of your projects.

Talk to you soon.

Sincerely,

The Wicker Breaker
