Operation Achieve Anything: Day One-Hundred-Forty-Seven, Dateline 5-27-2018

Our days are numbered. One of the primary goals in our lives should be to prepare for our last day. The legacy we leave is not just our possessions, but in the quality of our lives. What Preparations should we make now? The greatest waste in all of our earth, which cannot be recycled or reclaimed, is our waste of the time that God has given us each day.
— Billy Graham

Good morning crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-forty-seven of Operation Achieve Anything. It’s Sunday, and it’s earlier than I usually wake up during the week. I’m not complaining though, the whole reason I am up so early is that I used this weekend to really get caught up on my sleep. All of this extra sleep has me feeling great both mentally and physically which is great for me in general but is terrible as far as yesterday’s assignment goes.

Yesterday, the task at hand was to write my own obituary. Normally, when I’m in a darker mood, I would have knocked this assignment out of the park because I have no problem at all with exploring a topic that can get a little morbid since dying has always been on my mind. Unfortunately, with me being in such a good mood the obituary I managed to come up with was just okay when I was hoping it would be really good.

With that, here’s what I managed to come up with…

Matthew Aaron Bunker (AKA: Bunker, The Wicker Breaker), 101, died 25th November 2077 at his doomsday bunker in the middle of nowhere, USA after a choking on a spoon full of Niblets while celebrating Thanksgiving in his own traditional way.

Mr. Bunker was born on the 29th of February 1976 in San Diego, California to Maureen and Steven Bunker. Though he never achieves his dreams he spent most of his life honing his skills in an effort to become a great writer. Unable to find love, he was married to his craft. Instead of leaving a living offspring he left behind a cache of content that he birthed.
Though alone during his demise, he always kept the ones he loved very close to his heart, which can be seen in his many writings. Which can be found at thewickerbreaker.com until the final years’ worth of hosting credits run out.

I wouldn’t say that I did bad, I just am a bit disappointed because if this assignment showed up last week, it would have been my time to shine.

Oh well, it is what it is, and now it is time to move on to today’s task at hand that kind of has me feeling annoyed. Once again, we have another religiously inspired lesson which doesn’t really bother me on its own since the message boils down to there’s more for us to leave this world than money or worldly possessions. Though this idea is great, the fact that the message comes from quoting Billy Graham as he told his people that there is more to life than money. Meanwhile, he died hoarding twenty-five million dollars while there is still struggling on this earth.

I find it very hard to look past this hypocrisy even when the underlying message is good. I’ll delve into this more when I check in with tomorrow’s update when this will be the task at hand as the focus. Until then, it’s now time for me to wrap this up as usual by saying, good day and good luck to you and all of your projects.

Talk to you soon.

Sincerely,

The Wicker Breaker
