One Creative Introvert’s Effort To Take On The Extroverted Marketing World…

Welcome to day number ninety-two of 365 Days Of Marketing And Me… and… as much as I love to be writing again… I’m starting to find that I really miss writing code… yeah… I get to dig into this site’s metadata as I implement SEO… but… I use Squarespace for The Wicker Breaker… so… I have to use their dashboard… which is why I’m struggling to get things precisely the way that I want…

Last night… before heading off to bed… I found an email in my inbox letting me know that Udacity was offering a free month’s worth of tuition towards any of their NanoDegrees… at first… I was going to take yet another marketing course… but… after looking at the syllabus… it looked like more of the same… that’s when I decided to switch things up and sign up for their Front End Web Development program… since I liked their Android Basic NanoDegree Program that I graduated from a few years back…

Yes… I’ve already started a couple of Full-Stack Web Dev Bootcamps… but… the learning I did for IsIt420OrNot.com grew to become too convoluted after the goal went from making an actual site to making a surreal art project… which is why I signed up for another Bootcamp… which led to the making of ThatOneStoner.com… that’s now put on hold while my desktop computer’s still down…

In fact… I only returned to The Wicker Breaker because all of the files that I need to continue either of these other two projects… are trapped on my dead computer… not trapped… trapped… in that I still have access to everything if I get desperate… but… for now… I’m more desperate to finally monetize this website… so my pothead fun will have to wait… and this new web development course will lead to the rebuilding of thewickerbreaker.com…

I figure having this reboot as my main goal… I’ll already have the content and framework to work with… meaning I might not get lost in the potential for creating visual art… and actually finish a full site… either way… I also plan to finish the other two sites and their respective courses… it might just take a little longer than I originally thought… unless this here site starts earning enough for me to free up some time by hiring a little help…

And with that… I’m going to consider the marketing portion of today to be done… so that I can move on to share how I handled the theme from yesterday…

According to the 365 Days Of Marketing book… yesterday was She’s Funny That Way Day… and as I guessed at the end of yesterday’s post… will be celebrated by me sharing pictures of my quirky ass dog… who’s been know to sleep in her food… stand in her water while she munches down on her meals… and refuses to take a walk…

She may have a funny way about her… but I’m happy that she’s mine…

And there you have my celebration of today’s theme… now let’s move on to see what the book has in store for today…

The 365 Days Of Marketing book says that today is Children’s Book Day… and… having no child of my own… I might have to resort to one of my sisters with kids for a recommendation… or ask one of the kids themselves… it’s either that… or I share where I was when I heard of the book The Gas We Pass… I’m sure I’ll figure something out… and I can’t wait to share…
