Welcome to day number 13 of this year's NaNoWriMo challenge where I would like to announce that I am now officially an entire day ahead of my workload!!! Well, unless you count this post, which I don't because this segment of my site is meant to be an up-to-the-minute account of what I've been up to since yesterday's post. That said, I soon as I hit publish, I am technically done with all of my projects for today.

As much as I'd love to take advantage of this situation and take the day to rest off the extra effort I put to put me ahead of the game, I can't because I need to put in a normal day's work in order to keep this safety net intact. Luckily, this won't be that bad since dropping back to my normal work pace will seem extra quick after two days of doubling down.

Whether or not today will end up being all that horrible, my brain feels a little burnt out so it's going to be a bit of a struggle either way. Then again, it's going to be quite a relief to find that once I'm done, I won't only be done for the day but I'll be done for tomorrow as well but then again, again, tomorrow won't be a day off either since I'll be working on my tasks for the next tomorrow instead.

Though I might sound like I'm complaining about not getting time off, these are all personal projects that I can drop whenever I want and the only repercussion I'd experience would be dealing with the guilt. I'm much more excited about having that feeling of more room to breathe that comes with escaping the same day deadline that working on three daily projects consecutively can bring about.

Today, I definitely plan to do the bare minimum to complete my day in an attempt to set up a better rested tomorrow. Who knows, by the end of the week, I may be rested enough to attempt to get a second day ahead, or maybe even a second and a third. If that ends up being the case, these extra days will be cashed in so I can take a mini-partial vacation, since I'd still have to write this Daily Breaker post as well as perform my money making tasks.

No matter what ends up happening as far as my workload goes, it really doesn't matter because I am very happy with what's happening right now as far as my writing life is concerned and I can't wait until New Year's when I will publicly share my first non-screenplay long-format fiction.

Oh well, that's still a while away, so, until then, it's now time to move on and get to tomorrows work in order to wrap up today. As always, I'll check in tomorrow to keep you posted on my progress and wish you luck on whatever you're getting into.

Talk to you soon,

The Wicker Breaker

P.S. If you are reading this and playing along with this year's NaNoWriMo feel free to add fubunker as your writing buddy and I will buddy you back.
