I thought, “How great would it be to finish my paid work first to then spend the rest of my Friday having fun while working on my TheWickerBreaker.com content. Unfortunately, now I’ve finished work and am in a very grumpy mood because of technical from the paid gig, and now the service I used to create my blog pages is acting up where it will not allow me to save my content so now I’m in a frustrating fight with my own site.

Today is the last day of yet another family visit, which has been fun but at the same time, I can’t wait to get back to my normal scheduled programming. There’s just a subtle sense of unnecessary stress whenever there’s a guest in the house. I feel it’s because my family has a way of always trying to be the perfect host while deep down inside we really don’t like any changes to our routines. I think this because I either inherited or learned that trait through my upbringing, so it’s easy to spot when it shows up in the people who did the raising or were also raised this way.

That said, unlike in the past where I either claimed I was in a rush only to ramble on for a page and a half or I admitted to the defeat of feeling uninspired, this post is going to be quick due to the fact that yesterday’s assignment was an artistic one and I’ve already spent a ton of time fulling the actual assignment and now I need to move on.

My paycheck arrived last night and though I still have to wait to get it cashed, just having it in my possession is enough to ease some of the stress that’s been building ever since I burned through my last bit of money. I don’t have as much to buy with this paycheck so I should be able to make it stretch until I get paid again and should be able to keep this paycheck to paycheck existence running smoothly, at least until I get fired from my job.

It’s Saturday, I’m starting to feel run down, so I’m going to make this one quick in order to rush back to bed to lay around for another day in hopes that this bout of weekend rest will finally work out the back pain that’s been contributing to my low mood. Thankfully, I don’t feel that I’m slipping into another bout of depression, I just feel like I need a bit of a recharge as I continue to find the right life balance since my schedule’s been shifted thanks to my new gig.

I’m so excited that it’s Friday and I’m just a couple of hour away from being done with my day job for a couple of days. I hate how much this gig drains my energy each week, especially considering how easy the work is and how it should be a stress-free job. It almost feels like the company keeps throwing extra hurdles in order to stop us from settling into a groove by making subtle changes to their expectation randomly throughout the week.

I wish I could have pulled this off back in my nine to five days when it actually mattered what time I started my day as opposed to now when my schedule is completely flexible.

I didn’t want to wake this early but my new thing is if I can’t get to back to sleep while I have things to do, I get right to work rather than laying around with my eyes closed wishing for just one more hour of rest. That way, I can finish my day earlier and then fit in a nap.

Not only is their system running smoothly again, but they’ve finally sent out a clearer explanation of their quality expectations that makes it easier to defend my work when the auditors flag me for getting something wrong. Not only that, but the auditors now seem to be on the same page now that they have these instructions as well, meaning there is far less conflict in the first place.

Yesterday turned out to be a pretty successful day where I finished TheWickerBreaker.com overhaul phase where I changed the header images for all of the pages that I am actively working on. The next step will be to update all of the header images for my archived work and I’m very excited to get to it whenever I can fit in the time.

Yesterday turned out to be a pretty good day where I managed to get caught up on a lot of things that I wasn’t able to get to over the weekend thanks to my older sister’s surprise visit. Not only that, but my job’s website seemed to work out their bugs so I was able to knock out my paid obligations without any delay. To top things off, my job also provided us better instruction about what they expect out of us that I can now use as evidence when the work auditors misjudge the tasks I turn in.

Though I got a lot done this weekend I didn’t get to as much as I wanted because of a surprise visit from my oldest sister, who just dropped by to take a break from her usual routine with her family. I could’ve continued working since she brought things to keep her busy but I find it hard to focus when there are visitors in the other room. Plus, I like when she drops by because she’s one of the few people outside the family who I live with that I actually enjoy speaking to.

It’s Sunday, so I’m going to make this a quick one so that I can get back to work on the blog overhaul that I started a couple of days ago. This actually fits into yesterday’s assignment which was a continuation of the inspiration-themed tasks that the Achieve Anything… book has been focused on, which started the overhaul in the first place.
