Resolution #304: Fill My Light Fixtures With These Bluetooth Controlled Light Bulb Speakers!!!

The Resolution: I chose this as a resolution mainly because I'm interested in the potential sound of this almost literal surround sound. I also think it may lead to some fun when I'm in a special mind state to hear the voices from podcasts that I listen to as they sound from above live the voices of gods.
Result #304: The Too Broke For Success Theme Continues As I Failed To Afford Any Of These Fancy Speaker Light Bulbs…
Update #1 The Conclusion…

When I set this resolution I was still living in my Seattle apartment and really getting into crazy house lighting. I had heard something about how having bright lights above your head after dark is unnatural and maybe a reason for some sleep disorders. The solution to this would be dim lights from above and brighter light from below the eye line as if the list were coming from a fire or something like that.
I had my apartment set up so that I didn't need much artificial light during the day, I put red lights in all the ceiling fixtures and adjustable lights below the eye line. Whether or not this lighting strategy helped with my sleep at all did matter because it was a really cool set up, especially when I was stoned.
The plan was to replace the red lights with these color-changing speaker lights to add even more magic to the room. Unfortunately, these bulbs are $30 to $50 each and with about ten fixtures to fill that could be pretty pricey.
I should have bought one bulb at a time instead of looking at it as a one-time bulk purchase but I know if I did that I'd end up with just one bulb and a plan to buy more in the future.
The other hurdle that got in the way of this resolution is, the day after I set it is the day I decided I wanted to move home after living in Seattle for close to 18 years. All apartment based resolutions went right out the window once I made that decision.
Right now I'm kind of in a weird place. I'm living back at home in the garage that's been converted to be almost a studio the size of my apartment minus the kitchen and bathroom. I know I'm going to be here a while as I try to figure out what I want to do with my life and save up for whatever that plan ends up being.
Since I know I'm going to be here a while but know it's not permanent I feel that I'm avoiding anything that feels permanent as far as settling into my space to avoid getting too comfortable. This is why I haven't just transferred my apartment based resolutions to my new space.
I want my next move to be permanent and am saving all my living space based resolutions for the place that will truly be my own.
As always, I'll keep you posted if I am ever able to pull this off.
