Resolution #69: Attend And Purchase Something From A Live-Auction...
/Date: 3-10-2014
Due Date: 3-10-2015
Resolution: I don't fully know why, but I've found that I'm a big fan of all the auction shows on the television. When I first got my driver’s license I found out about car auctions that sold unclaimed cars from the impound yard. I would fantasize about going and winning some pimped out car that once belonged to some drug dealer who was serving time. Then I'd get scared thinking, "What if he saw me driving his car once he got out?"
Ah… the imagination of youth.
I continue to have fantasies about something cool for cheap through the auction circuit so this year I will track one down and give it a shot.
Result #69: I Was Barely Able To Pay My Rent… Let Alone… Save Up Anything Extra To Spend At A Real Deal Live-Auction.
Update #1: The Conclusion…
Date: 3-10-2015
I don't know if I should be ashamed of failures like this because of the poor financial planning that went into some of these resolutions, or if the shame should stem from my failure to become successful enough to be able to afford to complete these novel tasks.
Then again maybe I should be proud of myself for giving it a shot.
It's been a while since I've had an inflated sense of self-confidence. I miss having the optimism and wishful thinking that I would be able to earn enough to both get by while also having somewhat of a disposable income, at least enough to follow through with these low budget dreams.
Right now that type of lifestyle feels a million miles away.
Luckily, I'm just as stubborn as I am delusional so I'm going to keep at it until the end.
Maybe someday I'll be able to complete this resolution, but until then I've failed.
