/Oh, how I wish this could be my permanent job...
Though my last job was pretty easy, I wasn't allowed to work all that many hours and there was a lot of monotonous writing to be done in a set amount of time. This new job is twice as easy I'm now doing search engine optimization work where I just look at results and click on the things that I see based on the results, no typing whatsoever.
Not only is it easier but the pay is the same and I get to work six times as many hours as I used to work. Sure, it's ten times as monotonous as the last gig but it's also easier to the point where I can take in more of the background atmosphere of my room as I work. This means I'm actually entertained by the podcasts that I listen to while working, instead of entire shows blowing by where I end up only processing about half the content.
The best part of this whole arrangement is, even when I was working fewer hours, I killed a lot of time from the early afternoon until the early evening. I wouldn't start class until 5:00 in the PM, this means that I'm not really losing any part of the day where I would be doing anything all that productive.
This would also be the perfect set up if permanent because I get to choose how many hours I want to work as long as I put in at least 10 hours and don't go over 30 hours in a week. Since this is short term, I will be working the max, but if this went on I'd be able to determine how much I want to work based on what's my bank account.
It would be so awesome to have that option.
Oh well, maybe someday, until then, it's time to get back on the clock.
Talk to you tomorrow,
The Wicker Breaker
