/Oops, another day almost got away from me leading me to barely get to this post in time. This usually only happens on the weekends when I get caught up in my side projects. During the week I have a pretty solid schedule. Though the times aren't always set the order of events are.
First, I lay in bed and call the dog over to me to start the day with a morning snuggle. Then I get out of bed and dish out her breakfast as I make a pot of coffee and cook up some bacon and eggs. Next I sit down to eat as I check my email.
At this point I'm never ready to fully start so I jump right into my day job as I wake up. It's brainless work so it's perfect to do while the power of the coffee sets in. By the time I'm done with work I usually have an idea of what I want to write for The Daily Breaker, usually a gripe about the day before or plans for the day to come.
After that, the day is mine!!!
Well, the day may be mine but the work is not done, sometimes I take a quick nap but for the most part I jump right into taking a class and then spend the rest of the day working on one of my side projects until it's time to watch my prime time shows before returning to work or crashing for the day.
Everything is the same on the weekends except I don't have to do the day job. This actually leads to a slower start to my day because the day job actually gets me going. Without I meander a bit more, justifying slacking with the excuse that it is my day off.
If I'm not slacking I'm tinkering with a project, not fully willing to commit. Then the next thing you know it's midnight and I'm rushing to get my Daily Breaker post out before I go to sleep.
And, here we are.
I miss the days when weekend meant fun. That's not to say that I don't enjoy what I'm doing. I just miss having people in my life that forced me to take a break.
Oh well, talk to you tomorrow.
