A few days ago I finished my second App building class which taught me most of what I need to work on my first real-world project. At first, I wanted to take a break directly after completing my course because even though I get to work at my own pace, I rarely end up taking time for myself, which is a trade-off for chasing a dream.

Instead of a small celebration from my minor achievement, I jumped right into work, spending three entire days developing my ideas into a working prototype. Everything was going smoothly until my motivation just sort of locked up. I'm fine that though because I'm used to the peaks and valleys, but I'm not really fine with the relapse triggered by my burnt out brain.

Yes, I fell off the wagon and started to watch my documentaries of doom and gloom despite the positive feelings I was feeling from the break. I couldn't help it though, with all the chaos of this year's election, I needed to focus my anxieties on topics that I know are irrational that I see more as entertainment and not rational fears.

So last night I fell asleep to a documentary about how Planet X is approaching and will be bringing with it the end of times. My favorite part of these documentaries is that they claim this will happen before our presidential election which, sadly, is a more comforting outcome over either candidate's win.

Now I've had my fill of fear and it's time to tune out the world and get back to work.

Talk to you tomorrow,
