Alright, its day two of my exploration into the Passport to Flavor run of Lays potato chips. Yesterday I tried the Chinese Szechuan Chicken Chips and found that they weren't that bad while not being all that good at the same time. Today, I'm giving the Brazilian Picanha flavor a try.

I have to be honest, I don't think I've ever tried Brazilian Picanha in non-chip form. However, I have had Picanha as a flavor of fancy ramen in the past and was always a fan. As I pointed out yesterday, a lot of these exotic flavors do actually taste like ramen power dumped into a bag of chips. That said, I didn't mind this flavor all that much.

Where yesterday, I felt like there was too much fake chicken flavor to the chip, I feel the Brazilian Picanha has a better balance to where I didn't feel overpowered by a sense of biting into a beef bouillon cube. Instead, this flavor seemed to focus on whatever that green stuff is in the bowl in front of the beef in the image on the bag.

Though I did like this flavor better than the Chinese Szechuan Chicken and I'm happy to have tried both, I would not seek either out now that I've gotten the "New Flavor" curiosity out of my system.

Tomorrow I try the India Chicken Tikka Masala. I can't wait to tell you how it tastes.

Talk to you then,
