/Oops, I just realized that I've been making a big mistake with this site for the past couple years. I've said it many times in the past but I never intended on this Daily Breaker segment of the site to be the main content of the page. In fact, I only created it to summarize my efforts during the 365 Days of Resolution experiment where I set a resolution a day for an entire year then took a year to complete said resolutions.
Some days I would work on multiple resolutions and get a lot done but not enough to justify an individual update of my efforts. Some days I wouldn't accomplish anything at all so I used this segment to explain why. There was also a checklist aspect to this segment where I had all my resolutions listed and would note my progress on a daily basis.
At that time, this segment was more to keep me on track with a brief note for those that were playing along at home. Since I never saw this as featured content I kept the information on the summary link to a minimum only noting the date of the post.
Today, I was looking for a post I made a couple days ago because I wanted to share it with a friend. That's when I found this...
Just a list of dates to what looks like empty posts. I think, due to a combination of this initially being a throwaway segment and the fact that Facebook and Twitter automatically create summaries to the sites you share I never realized how useless this page is to those that stumble on to the site and want to explore.
So I guess I have a new side project now that I've realized the error of my ways. I don't know how long it's going to take but I'm going to start editing the site to make all the post in this segment look more like this.
It's still going to be the same useless content but at least it will be easier to navigate the nonsense when I finally do find my voice.
Time to get to work...
Talk to you tomorrow,
- The Wicker Breaker
