/As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I spent last night marathon watching the new GLOW TV series on Netflix and I have to say, it was one of the best adaptations of a pop culture event that I've seen in a while, if not the best I've ever seen.
As I also mentioned a couple days ago when I talked about my and my date's premature attempt to watch the show two days before it premiered, we started the failed marathon watch with a Netflix documentary about the real GLOW and I'm very happy that I did because it added a ton of insight and may be why I liked it so much.
At first, I was a little disappointed by the fact that they weren't using the actual characters that I knew as a kid, but the documentary allowed me to see the personality traits that were chopped up and blended to create the hybrid wrestlers they did in a way that really helped to make the overall story feel a little extra compelling.
Other than the show, it was also a nice third date as I grow more and more comfortable with my old person approach to dating where I don't need alcohol to fuel the fun but I do have to admit without the booze induced conversations, it can get a little quite leading me to get stuck in my head as I fear that I'm not being entertaining but that's something that I have to continue to work on.
Alright, that's all that I've got for now, not sure what the rest of the day has in store for me, I'll be sure to check in tomorrow with what I end up getting into.
Talk to you then,
