Operation Achieve Anything: Day Fifty-One, Dateline 2-20-2018
/Morning Crickets. It’s day number fifty-one of Operation Achieve Anything and I have to admit that today I feel completely exhausted to the point where I also feel a bit uninspired. The problem is that I apparently took yesterday’s fifty day celebration a bit too far and stayed up until six-o’clock in the AM drinking boxed wine for the first time since back in January at some point.
As I often point out, now that I’m no longer a daily drunk, these random binges take way more out of me via hangovers than I ever experienced when feeling like this was just a way of life. Luckily, there was no real assignment yesterday so I don’t have all that much to report on. I was simply told to reflect on the progress that I’ve made since starting the achievement-base challenge.
For the most part, I’ve been enjoying the overall experience but at the same time, I’m still a bit more annoyed by how generic the self-help advice has been toward being a better person in general as opposed to focusing in on actually achieving goals. That said, I do love how the Achieve Anything… book has inspired me to stick to learning how to play bass which was a challenge I failed a couple of years ago.
That’s pretty much all of the reflections that I’ve got at this point so let’s move on to discuss the assignment for today. Once again, the book has me focused on how I treat others and wants me to think back to a time where I either really needed someone to be there for me and someone was or vice versa, with someone needing me and I didn’t let them down.
As always, I’ll delve more into this task when I check in with tomorrow’s update. Until then, it’s now time for me to sign off with my usual encouragement as I say, good day and good luck to you and all of your projects.
Talk to you soon.
Sincerely,
The Wicker Breaker
