Operation Achieve Anything: Day Eighty-Six, Dateline 3-27-2018
/Good afternoon Crickets!!! Welcome to day number eighty-six of Operation Achieve Anything. As I warned yesterday, I am currently at my oldest sister's house, enjoying the closest thing that I've had to a vacation in a little while. I am currently working on one of my nephew's computer that has a keyboard that I'm not used to and a standard spell checker so please excuse any extra mistakes that may slip by.
Thankfully, yesterday's assignment was simple enough to make this a quick one because this computer setup is kind of driving me out of my mind since it's set up for gaming overwriting and is more frustrating to work with than I would have imagined. I think the biggest problem is that most people who don't mainly use their computers for writing all have crappy keyboards and whatever office chair they can find.
The fact that I'm still writing even though I not in my comfort zone actually transition well into talking about persistence and optimism which is the main lesson to be learned from the task at hand since even though things are quite the way that I want, I'm still enthusiastically making progress.
I general, as long as I don't have to count on others, I've always been a pretty persistent person and have always done what it takes to get the things that I want. Even when others are involved, I do my best to do what I can but in these cases, success usually depends on whoever stepped up as the leader, which is rarely ever me.
I know the simple solution would be to attempt to be this leader but I have no interest in being in charge because babysitting others only distracts from my ability to focus on my own work. It's not that I'm not a team player, I just have no interest in being in control. I think this is what allows me to be both patient and persistent at the same time because I know it will take longer to achieve my dreams all on my own.
This is why my favorite quote is "Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm, which was much easier to live by when I was young enough to still see my failures as fun, instead of the expected results that it's grown to be. Either way, I'm now pretty much pot-committed to working on figuring this approach to life out until the day that I die.
As for today's assignment, I'm supposed to rethink my views on success based on the above quote of the day about success not really being about how far you got but the distance you've traveled to get there. For someone who's been working on establishing a writing career for over two decades, and still feel that I have a lot to know, I think it will be easy to explain how I already relate to this issue.
Of course, with this being the assignment for today, you'll have to wait for tomorrow's update to see what I say in order to fulfill the task. Until then, it's now time for me to wrap this up and sign off as usual by saying, good day and good luck to you and all of your projects!!!
Talk to you soon.
Sincerely,
The Wicker Breaker
