Operation Achieve Anything: Day One-Hundred-Sixty-Nine, Dateline 6-18-2018

The harder the nut, the sweeter the kernel.
— Saying

Good morning crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-sixty-nine of Operation Achieve Anything. Here we go with another Monday where I feel nice and refreshed from not having to do the day job on the weekend and wondering how long it will take for the gig to drive me out of my mind. Hopefully, this will be an easy week as there does seem to be ups and downs in how knit-picky they get with their feedback.

Other than that, I started to lay out a few new pages for an upcoming project that I’m pretty excited about but you’ll have to wait for more details on that. Today, I’m here to report on yesterday’s assignment where I was supposed to explore the idea of how it’s life difficulties that actually lead to a more fulfilled life. Kind of like the whole, “you can’t have pleasure without pain,” concept. I agree to an extent but feel there is a point where the struggles seem like a curse that will never be overcome.

I get how putting up a good fight can allow you to live with pride whether you win or lose, but sometimes, living with a mental disorder can feel like you’re losing even when you’re on top of the world. I wish I lived in a head where all that I had to worry about was whether or not I completed a difficult task, because this book makes that life seem like it’s pretty easy.

But no, here I sit, living with a mind that’s ups and downs don’t always match the way that I think I should be feeling while having absolutely no control. I guess this plays into today’s assignment since it’s pretty much focused on the same thing only with a new quote to explore. The harder the nut, the sweeter the kernel, just another way of saying the exact same thing.

Once I finish this challenge, I should write a self-help book of my own because I’m pretty good at repetitive rambling, which you may already know if you check in on any regular basis. In fact, I’ll be doing more repetitive rambling when I check in tomorrow to complain about today’s repeated task. Until then, it’s time for me to wrap this thing up by saying, good day and good luck to you and all of your projects.

Talk to you soon.

Sincerely,

The Wicker Breaker

P.S. Below are links to my novel, which I plan to promote as part of Operation Achieve Anything, as well as a link to where you can buy the book that is providing the structure to this project in case you would like to purchase it in order to play along.
