Operation Achieve Anything: Day Two-Hundred-Twenty-Four, Dateline 8-12-2018

Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth.
— Muhammad Ali

Good morning crickets. Welcome to day number two-hundred-twenty-four of Operation Achieve Anything. I really need to stop this new trend of drinking every weekend that I started back when I landed my day job. It's not that I think that it's growing to be a problem addiction wise or anything like that, it just makes one day really fun and the next on the next day I struggle to get anything done at all. I guess, psychologically, this might just be my way of forcing myself to take a break in order to avoid burning out.

If it wasn't for the booze, I would have spent all yesterday watching and reviews Saturday Night Lives which would have been awesome to build a stockpile of work but sometimes I don't always feel like being such a busybody. I wish I could remember how to just relax and spend my weekends resting to recover my overworked mind. Hopefully, I do a little this throughout the rest of the day as I nurse this weekend's hangover.

I order to get to the point where I can make this attempt, it's time to dig into today's assignments. Yesterday, I was just supposed to do another good deed for someone else. Again, as a shut-in, who this time was drunk, seemed difficult at first because I had no plans for any human interaction for the day but then I started texting with my older sister. She currently taking a coding class similar to the one I took a couple of years ago, which got me thinking that I'd like to collaborate with her on a project.

I threw out an offer to hire her for a few tasks because she's obsessive like me but where I go all in on creative stuff, she loves numbers and data, so I'm feeling, with our powers combined, we could put out a couple of interesting projects. The good deed was not only how encouraging I was while pitching her ideas but I thought I was being nice by offering to be her first paying client and not just expecting her to work for free. Though nice, this is also a bit self-serving because I haven't always had the best luck with collaborating just for fun.

As for today's assignment, I'm supposed to list all of the things about being on Earth that I love while thinking about the price that I pay to keep these things in my life. Not financial payments like I just mentioned about but all of the effort that I put in to maintain a proper balance. As an isolating shut-in, I'm not sure how I'll do with this one but we'll have to wait for tomorrow's post to see how I figure it out. Until then, it's time for me to sign off as usual by saying, good day and good luck to you and all of your projects.

Talk to you soon.

Sincerely,

The Wicker Breaker
