365 Days Of Marketing And Me: Day Ten - 1/10/2021
/One Creative Introverts Effort To Take On The Extroverted Marketing World…
Welcome to day ten of 365 Days Of Marketing And Me… I’m still within the 72-hour window of waiting to see whether or not my site’s analytics will be fixed… but… thanks to the Sanvello app that I now use as a mental health aid before making a post… I don’t feel the frustration will affect my work… but then again… I’m also in a holding pattern… and I am extremely patient when I know exactly how long I have to wait...
It’s weird how I’m able to just go with the flow when it comes to certain areas of my life… but then there are other areas where if things go wrong… I freak the fuck out… I mainly get upset when technology goes wrong… or one someone changes a schedule… but… as long as I have more than a day’s notice… and the idea sounds fun… I’ll drop everything and get involved in a heartbeat…
Well… maybe when I was young… back when I randomly gave my two-week notice at UPS to move to Seattle… a city where I’ve never been… all because a coworker of mine made a joke that I decided to commit to… I guess it’s more that… when it’s my plan to do things on my own… I’m “go with the flow” all day… but when others are involved… I worry that I may zig when everyone else wants to zag… so I would prefer that I know the schedule… and panic over everyone else’s anxiety if something goes wrong…
I used to love this nervous energy because it was the driving force behind my jokes… since I was the one who everyone turned to for entertainment in times of chaos… and was perfectly fine with this role… until I got too old and the world got too cold… for me to keep playing that character… and am now making an effort to conserve all of my energy until I’m able to fully heal… then we’ll see how I feel about socializing
Until then… it’s time for me to dig into today’s assignment…
For today’s assignment… the 365 Day Of Marketing book says that it’s Cut Energy Cost Day… which I made several resolutions about during 365 Days Of Resolution… one of the biggest energy cost savers was when I resolved to stop driving my 1976 GMC Truck for a month… then ended up selling it… and haven’t driven a vehicle ever since…
Another resolution came about when my landlord locked the laundry room after another tenant started stealing all of the quarters from the machines… rather than go to the laundromat… I opted to go green by buying a device that looked like a bingo spinner and resolved to do all of my clothes in my kitchen… that went on for a couple of months… but overall… it did cut my energy costs…
Finally… rather than tell my landlord that my water heater went out… I again opted to go green by setting a resolution to take cold showers until it was fixed… I hope this doesn’t make my landlord sound like a slumlord… this cold shower idea came from a rapid weight loss plan and not that he wasn’t on top of maintaining my abode when needed…
Alright… that’s all that I’ve got for today…
And With That… Here Are The Numbers For The Past Seven Days!!!
(note… I’m just a fan of Ezoic with an affiliate link… they are not an official sponsor…)
The first two are pretty much the Energy Cost Cutting devices that I actually used… I wish they would have had the second two machines at the time… because I would’ve loved to have tried them instead… because at the time… my clothes had that indoor dried smell that I’m sure didn’t go unnoticed…
