Welcome to day number thirty-seven of 365 Days Of Marketing And Me… where I spent the entire day nursing a hangover from my once a month bender where I polish off an entire five-liter box of wine to force myself to take a day off… which was needed considering the fact that I have yet to take a break since I started this project back on New Year’s Day…
Again… I was under the impression that the 365 Days Of Marketing book would have more marketing-related tasks for its daily assignments and not be just a book filled with themed days… which would allow me to complete multiple tasks a day in order to create a stockpile of completed pages to give myself days off from time to time…
Unfortunately… having daily tasks based on already established themes makes it harder to stay ahead of the game without it feeling like a lie… because there is just something inside of me that won’t let me jump ahead and celebrate days before the date that’s been specifically designated for celebrating a specific theme… even though I would have no such issue if each assignment wasn’t tied to a specific time…
This morning… I thought that I completed my hunt for pages throughout this website with multiple H1 tags… which is why I was celebrating… only to find that I also used multiple H1 tags all throughout 365 Days Of Resolution… so it turns out that I jumped the gun with my box wine drinking to celebrate the completion of my last marketing task… but… I should be done first thing tomorrow… after this hangover is gone…
That’s the best that I have towards the marketing portion for today… now it’s time to share how I failed to handle the task from yesterday…
According to the 365 Days Of Marketing book… yesterday was Bubble Gum Day… which left me feeling uninspired… considering the fact that I haven’t chewed bubble gum since I was in high school… and am just not a fan of the chewy/sweet treat… if I had more time and money… I would have ordered a bunch of exotic flavors online… to then share my experience taste testing each piece in detail… but.. instead… I just slept all day whenever not drinking my wine… and didn’t taste a lick of any bubble gum…
And that’s how I failed the assignment from yesterday… now let’s see what the book is suggesting that I do today…
The 365 Days Of Marketing book says that today is Wear Red Day… yet another task that I don’t really care about since I’m one of those people who wears the same exact thing every day… and the outfit I opt for is all black with no room for color at all… but… I’ll try to find a way to add a little spice to my life with a splash of red attire by the end of the day… I just don’t know how I’ll write about wearing a specific color when I check in with tomorrow’s update… but I’m sure I’ll figure something out… and not just fail like I did today….
