365 Days Of Marketing And Me: Day Thirty-Six - 2/5/2021

One Creative Introverts Effort To Take On The Extroverted Marketing World…

Welcome to day number thirty-six of 365 Days Of Marketing And Me… where I’m still hunting down pages with multiple H1 tags throughout this site to change the tags that aren’t the title to H2 or H3 tags in an effort to improve my SEO score… I should have and could have completed this task this morning… but my internet was down for most of the day as our internet provider replace all of the old cables throughout our house to fix our internet speed issues…

So far… so good as far as my internet speed goes… which should make any future SEO related task not take as long as this H1 task to wrap up… with the old connection… it could take a minute to a minute and a half to update each page with a thirty-second lag each time that I would open or save and changes made… this is why it’s taking over four days to complete this simple find and change task…

Unfortunately… this means I only have more of the same to report on… but… I’m still on it and plan to stay up and drink box wine until every last multiple H1 is found as soon as I complete my… self-imposed… blogging obligation for today… I may not have done all that much YET… but since I know that I will be at it until the wee hours of the night… I’m going to consider my marketing effort of the day to be done…

And now that the marketing portion is done… it’s time to see how I handled the task from yesterday…

According to the 365 Days Of Marketing book… yesterday was Girls And Women In Sports Day… which I thought would be tough because I’m like a girl when it comes to watching sports… or at least like a girl from “the good old days” who’s just not interested in fully grown men play childish games… and even less interested in sitting with a bunch of out of shape men yelling at a TV screen because they don’t agree with the referee’s call on a play…

Yesterday… when I first saw the theme for the day… I was going to write about how I was jealous that they didn’t have the WWE Divas back in the day when I was a fan… for one… it would have been nice to have more to look at than a bunch of ugly men… but… it would have also been nice to see women represented as more than just accessories to the few male wrestlers who had a female manager… there were a few women wrestlers when I first started watching… like Wendi Richter… who had a good feud with The Fabulous Moolah… but most female bouts were treated like novelty matches almost the same way they still treat the little people matches…

I didn’t go this route because I haven’t watched wrestling in more than a decade… and couldn’t name one Diva by name… but I have seen some highlights and it’s nice to see that the matches at least seem to be taken seriously… so… instead of writing about something that I know nothing about… I decided to make a recommendation for something to watch about girls and women in sports…

The show I recommend is on Netflix called We Are The Champions… it’s made up of a series of quirky sports… but I highly recommend the first show in the series about a Cheese Rolling event that’s held in the UK every year… and follows the most winningest female of this cheese chasing event… and she’s a blast to watch as she takes on other females of all ages… to add to the fun… the show mainly focuses on her and only gives some attention to the most winning is male in the “sport”… which is nice… because I’ve seen enough men in the spotlight especially when it comes to sports…

So… there’s my effort to fulfill yesterday’s assignment… now let’s see what’s in store for today…

The 365 Days Of Marketing book says that today is Bubble Gum Day… which means I need to head out to the store… that is unless I can think of something else referred to… or related to bubble gum to properly honor the day… which might end up being the case… since I’m not that huge of a fan of any form of gum… we’ll see what inspires me and how I fulfill the task when I check-in tomorrow to share my post for the day…
