365 Days Of Marketing And Me: Day Fifty-One - 2/20/2021
/One Creative Introverts Effort To Take On The Extroverted Marketing World…
Welcome to day number fifty-one of 365 Days Of Marketing And Me… and I’m finally done with all of my 404 error hunting… damn that ended up being a lot more work than I thought… I’m sure that it would have been a lot quicker… if I knew all of the wild card symbols and how each one works… since I only know that * will catch everything before or after the symbol is used… but am not to the point where I know how to handle deleting the middle sections of the URLs that I needed to redirect…
For example… an address maybe something like /season-9/2017/6/16/snl-s09e12-host-robin-williams-date-february-11-1984 and I removed all of the bold words to create the shorter URL… but I don’t know how to just take or keep words when they are in the middle of a string… I’m sure that there is a much cleaner way to write a redirect that would fix all 730 of the My Saturday Night Life review addresses in one swoop… that I will implement as soon as I learn how… until then… I’m going to consider the completion of writing over 2500 redirects… my marketing effort for today…
And now that I’m done… it’s now time to check-in and see how I handled the task from yesterday…
According to the 365 Days Of Marketing book… yesterday was Chocolate Mint Day… and to celebrate… I went up to The Dollar Tree and bought all of the chocolate mint products that they had… which surprisingly… wasn’t all that much… because they usually also have Junior Mints… and York Peppermint Patties… but I was happy with the loot that I bought below…
It may not be all that much… but… eating all of this junk is how I celebrated Chocolate Mint Day… and none of it was all that different than mint chocolate treats that I’ve tried in the past… and since I wouldn’t write home about any of the taste… I won’t ramble on and explain how each sweet was pretty good…
And there you have how I handled the assignment from yesterday…. now let’s see what the book has in store for me today…
The 365 Days Of Marketing book says that today is Love Your Pet Day… which is finally an easy one… at least in practice because I love my pet dog Zuni… but… it might be a task to come up with a way to celebrate in a way that’s worth writing about… I’ll probably just end up spoiling her with treats… and calling it a day early to spend more time on the couch with her… but we’ll have to wait for tomorrow to see how I handle this theme…
And to wrap things up… below are the statistics for today…
