365 Days Of Marketing And Me: Day Fifty-Five - 2/24/2021
/One Creative Introvert’s Effort To Take On The Extroverted Marketing World…
Welcome to day number fifty-five of 365 Days Of Marketing And Me… where today… I continued my break from marketing… after forgetting my gameplan to look into a marketing course to take… like I said that I might in yesterday’s post… but I’m fine with this… because I feel like I need a little more downtime to avoid burning out…
I’m also fine with it because I only committed to completing the 365 marketing themes that get suggested by the marketing book that I’m using to provide this project’s framework… I didn’t even really plan to complete all 365 marketing tasks consecutively until I learned that the book wasn’t filled with any tasks at all… but instead shares a theme for each day of the year to celebrate with customers.. and/or your workforce…
Since I went six years with nearly no days off from this blog before deciding that I needed to take what turned out to be a two-year break… I didn’t want to fall back into the zero time off trap… but now I don’t really mind… considering the fact that I can’t find a day job now that so many people are working from home… snatching up the gig work that kept me somewhat employed…
So… even though I may work on this project on a daily basis… there will be days like today where I might opt to share why I failed to complete a section of this challenge the day before… which may not be the best content that I’ve ever come up with… but at least I’ll try to continue creating daily posts that may at least have an interesting insight or two…
With that… I’m going to consider today’s marketing segment to be done… and move on to share what I did to technically handle yesterday’s theme…
According to the 365 Days Of Marketing book… yesterday was Personal Chefs Day… as a pre-Covid shut-in… it would be really nice to have such a person in my life… but… until this website makes more than almost a buck a day… the closest thing I come to eating anything made by a chef is when I head out for fast food… or order in… but even that takes more money than what I have at this time…
So… in order to meet the needs of today’s chef theme… I’m going to share my old recipe for my famous Tuna and Newman dish… that would probably land me on America’s Worst Cooks if an actual chef were to read these steps… and would definitely land me on the show if they were to actually taste the end product… but… I was in Junior College at the time… where this time of dish was more common…
Ingredients:
1 can of Tuna… Albacore if you’re not too broke…
1 jar of Paul Newman’s racist salsa… with Newman wearing a sombrero with a Mexican-style mustache… make sure to get the spiciest one available…
1 package of Top Ramen… whichever brand and flavor you like…
1 can of Niblets…
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese…
1 tbsp of liquid smoke…
For mise en place… open all of the cans… then boil the ramen noodles in water… after setting the seasoning packet aside… follow whatever rule that you have to make sure that the ramen is cooked… whether that means throwing the noodles at the wall until it sticks… or if you quickly reach into the boiling water with the help of a fork… to test a noodle by taste…
Once the noodles are done… strain all of the water and then stir the seasoning packet in with the dry noodles before adding the can of niblets into the pot… while the noodles are still hot enough to warm up the sweet corn kernels… at this point… I would transfer the mix into my dog bowl that I owned as my only dish… but you can eat this meal right out of the pot if that’s how you opt to lessen the need to do dishes…
I ad the cheese at this point… and wait a minute or two to give it a chance to melt a little before adding the Paul Newman salsa into the mix… top this all off with the tuna… and then add the liquid smoke… keeping as much of it on the fish as possible… it’s up to you if you want to stir this all up… or eat it in sections like a college stoner’s version of a poke bowl…
And there you have how I used to make my infamous Tuna and Newman dish… which might also be why I’m not a personal chef myself… and why today’s celebration is not really meant for me… but I would love to learn how to cook well enough to be considered a chef some day… and not just cook by dumping stuff into my air fryer or Instant Pot…
And that’s my recipe for how to technically complete the task from yesterday… now it’s time to see what the marketing book has in store for me this evening…
The 365 Days Of Marketing book says that today is Tortilla Chip Day… which is finally another task that I can handle… I just need to find a ride to the store to buy my supplies… or make my Amazon Fresh grocery order a little earlier than my original plan… either way… I’ll be enjoying tortilla chips at some point today… to create and complete a task that meets the needs of today’s theme… I can’t wait to share what I end up coming up with… when I check in tomorrow with my next marketing post…
And now… to wrap it all up… below are my statistics for the last seven days…
