One Creative Introvert’s Effort To Take On The Extroverted Marketing World…

Welcome to day number fifty-six of 365 Days Of Marketing And Me… where today… I remembered to sign up for a few marketing classes… in order to force myself to take a break from all of the SEO tweaking that I’ve been up to lately… to actually learn what I’m doing… instead of just resorting to the tips and FAQ information that’s provided by the SEO tools that I use…

These notes that I’ve been making changes based on are typically less than a paragraph long… keeping in mind that up until now… my main focus has been adjusting the length of page titles and description… due to the fact that… when I developed this site it was just a hobby… and I didn’t think about SEO all that much… because I thought it was only about keywords… since most of the marketing classes that I’ve taken so far have been about creating content… and not SEO as far a page structure goes…

Hopefully… one of these classes below will steer me more in the correct direction…

These are the free courses that I found on my favorite learning resource… Udemy.com… it may seem like a lot… but… over the past few years… online learning has become one of my favorite hobbies… so I’m pretty sure that I will be able to get through each lesson… besides… these free classes are only an hour or two… and since it’s for my own purposes… I can get high while I learn… this will help me figure out what I need to learn when I look for a paid course that may delve deeper into the areas where I need work…

I’ll probably do a course or two a day… and share which lessons I found to be helpful… for those who are playing along… and may also be interested in taking the class… keeping in mind that I’m looking for marketing information that might help out other creative introverts… and not really for people who actually enjoy their marketing efforts… since I’m trying to find a “set it and forget it” approach to all of the behind-the-scenes work for this site… so that I can focus on the content moving forward… after fixing all of my mistakes from the past…

And with that… I’m going to wrap up the marketing portion for today… so that I can start my first course… after I share how I handled yesterday’s task… along with the marketing theme for today…

According to the 365 Days Of Marketing book… yesterday was Tortilla Chip Day… which is the first theme that I didn’t have to technically fulfill in a while… since I am a pretty big fan of tortilla chip… but mainly as an instrument to scoop up some kind of dip… which is what I’m really the biggest fan of… unfortunately… I’m broke right now… so to meet the theme for today… I made a quick trip to The Dollar Tree to buy my supplies…

At first… I was just going to share the above image and enjoy the tortilla chips with the “guacamole style dip” and a side of “cream cheeze” and salsa… but then decided to see what would happen if I were to mix all of these ingredients together… along with some chopped up green onions from my garden… to see if it creates a cheap and easy to make treat…

First… I smooshed the “ guacamole style dip” into the “cream cheeze” before stirring in the salsa… and topped it all off with a whole bunch of chopped up green onions… the only thing in the recipe that’s real… which is why I decided to double down on how much I opted to use…

Granted… I’m sure that it would be much better if it was made with real-deal products… but for a dish that took four bucks to make… I have to say that it turned out to be pretty good…

And that’s how I celebrated Tortilla Chip Day… with that… it’s time to see what the marketing book has to offer for today’s task…

The 365 Days Of Marketing book says that today is Inconvenience Yourself Day… meaning that we’re back to a theme that might be hard for me to come up with a task to fulfill… considering the fact that I haven’t really left my place for over five years… meaning that I’d have to inconvenience myself for someone within this house… which I do on the regular… even if they don’t know it…

Maybe I’ll share a few examples of how I help out while having my own stuff to do… brace yourself to be underwhelmed if this is the route that I choose to go… then again… unless this is your first time on this site… you already know how much I love to celebrate the mundane aspects of my day… we’ll see what I manage to come up with…
