365 Days Of Marketing And Me: Day Sixty-Eight - 3/9/2021
/One Creative Introvert’s Effort To Take On The Extroverted Marketing World…
Welcome to day number sixty-eight of 365 Days Of Marketing And Me… where I’ve been continuing to plug away at adding metadata to all two-thousand-plus posts from The Daily Breaker… which I’ve been putting off due to the high volume of effort required to optimize these journal-esque posts that don’t bring in that much traffic now that they’re old and aren’t linked to an evergreen challenge…
I was going to wait until the next phase of revitalizing this site… by finally editing every single page into a final draft… using SEO keywords… and optimized/customized imagery… but… I still have to wait to be able to afford the parts to get my desktop computer up and running again… so… I figured that… since I have the time… and nothing better to do… that I’d get all the pages to the same “almost there” state before I start the major overhaul…
It’s tasks like this that make me wish that I built this site from code… and not a WYSIWYG web-building app that I have to access online… if this weren’t an app… I could do sitewide find and replace techniques to fix several problems with a few clicks… but as it is… I have to open every page… wait for it to load… edit what’s needed… click on a tab within the app and then wait for the page’s settings to load… and then click on the SEO setting tab and wait for a page load again…
It can take over fifteen minutes to make the changes… my hopes are that… by taking care of all of the changes in the tabbed areas… when the time does come to start the site’s major overhaul… there won’t be as much need to click all around… since I’ll only be making On-Page SEO changes to the main content section of the web-building app that I use… I can’t wait to get everything on this website up to a quality level that I feel comfortable enough with to finally walk away… allowing me to fully focus on content that’s new…
Until then… the marketing portion for today is done… and now it’s time to share how I handled the theme from yesterday…
According to the 365 Days Of Marketing book… yesterday was Girls Write Now Day… which is a day that I’m all for… since I’ve always fantasized about having a female collaborative partner to provide balance in my work… the only thing that sucks is that I often develop crushes on potential partner’s work… which often would get confused as me having a crush on the person…
At least that becomes my fear due to my… When Harry Met Sally… outlook on male/female relationships… not that I believe that all roads have to lead to sex… but I fear that others believe this cinematic trope… I get it though… because… as someone who lands on the straight side of the asexual spectrum… I do develop interests in the person after a while… leaving me confused… since often I feel the interest is obligatory to fulfill the story needs of life…
Unfortunately... I always end up feeling like a creep if I ever bring my confusion to light… with the hope of working through it… and not as an effort to hook up… which seems to be how sharing that I care often turns out… I think it’s because I have nothing but sisters… so I’m sensitive to these misinterpretations of my efforts to be a human being… unsure where I fit in…
But to those girls out there who love to write… I support the movement and you should get to work and start to write right NOW!!!
With that I’m going to consider this a technical fulfillment of yesterday’s task… now let’s see what the book has in store for today…
The 365 Days Of Marketing book says that today is Working Woman’s Day… which is another day that’s not about me… so… tomorrow’s post will probably be a lot like today’s… where any writing will be based more on the women in my life and how I relate… over there being a physical task that you can see.. as always… we’ll see what happen when I return for tomorrow’s post…
And now… to wrap it all up… below are my statistics for the last seven days… now complete with speed stats…
