365 Days Of Marketing And Me: Day Sixty-Seven - 3/8/2021

Welcome to day number sixty-seven of 365 Days Of Marketing And Me… where I spent a lot of yesterday learning how to customize the CSS on this site beyond what I could originally do with just the style sheet dashboard controls… part of me wishes that I would have learned to build this site from code instead of using a WYSIWYG web building tool… but it is what it is… and I finally have header images that stretch and shrink to fit the full image… even if that means losing the aspect ratio…
Aside from that… I spent the rest of the day plugging away on the SEO task that I introduced yesterday that should take me the rest of this month to complete… this is the task where I’m adding the needed metadata to all two thousand plus posts that make up The Daily Breaker segment… that I’ve barely touched so far… this is fun mindless work… but doesn’t inspire all that much to write about… meaning this portion of the page is going to be rough until that task is done…
This is a very monotonous task… so I’ll probably break things up with more free online courses from Udemy that I started last week… hopefully… between these two options… I’ll have at least something to say to fill up this marketing portion of these daily updates over the next several days… but only time will tell…
Speaking of time… it’s time to conclude the marketing portion for today… so that I can now share how I dealt with the theme from yesterday…
According to the 365 Days Of Marketing book… yesterday was Dentists Day… and I am on the phone trying to schedule an appointment as I type up this portion of this here note… well… I was… before I gave a robot all of my information to have them call me back… but… at least I got the ball rolling… first thing in the morning in honor of today’s theme…
I both can and can’t wait to get another check-up… I can wait because it’s been years since my last visit… and I’m afraid that I’m going to get in trouble because I’ve let my mouth get even more jacked up ever since I started to be able to hide my missing teeth behind my covid mask… I can’t wait… because not only are my teeth aesthetically unpleasing to look at… they also hurt and make it difficult to eat several foods…
Ideally… I wish that they would just yank them all and do one of those implants where they replace everything in one fell swoop… which may be the only option… considering the fact that my caps and bridgework are just as bad as the few original teeth that I have left… all that I know is that I don’t want another uncomfortable denture… I might opt to be a masked bandit for the rest of my life if I do end up having to take that route…
Either way… I’m ultimately looking forward to taking care of one more thing that’s been bothering me for decades… and am happy to add dental to the list… alongside physical and mental… as far as issues that I will no longer ignore… and to any kids out there… remember to brush your teeth twice a day… because you will hate yourself when not doing so changes the shape of your face when you get old…
And that should fulfill the task from yesterday… now let’s see what the book has in store for today…
The 365 Days Of Marketing book says that today is Girls Write Now Day… which I encourage all girls to do because I’m a fan of the female writers’ voice because it provides balance… and breaks the monotony of there being only one type of story that we continue to hear… but I’ll delve more into this when I check in tomorrow with my actual post on the subject… which I look forward to sharing…
