I can't believe that it's been less than a month since I've started to learn how to make websites from scratch. Up until now I've only done template based web building which I think helps me at least understand the concepts. That said I feel like I'm learning pretty quick.

I think I'm finally to a point where I'm ready to share. Now it's just a matter of putting together a portfolio site so people can follow my progress and possible hire me to build their sites. I might not be quite ready to pitch myself to projects though because I haven't gotten into the back end side of the web world. I have no idea how to deal with the data being collected in forms and all that fun stuff but I'm sure I'll get there soon.

This weekend I'm going to get started. I have one design theory class that I want to take to see if it helps me concentrate on the aesthetics of my sites as well as the layout and features. I also want to build five more pages to complete a series of pages that I can't wait to share.

I'm sort of excited about this and this isn't even a Wicker Breaker project. I still plan to announce that some time next month. I'm just waiting for some time to pass because I don't want my year long experiments to be linked to New Year's.

So that's what I'm up to.

I'll let you know where I'm at tomorrow!!!
