Last night I finished lesson two of three for the current section of my Android app class. Where I was hoping to finish the lessons by the end of the weekend so I can start my next assignment on Monday, if I stick to this pace, I could be could be done with this section by the end of the day, allowing me to either take it easy over the next couple days or get an early start, which is more likely the outcome.

I am real excited about this upcoming assignment because, unlike the last assignment, I already have what I want to create laid out in my head. Where the last assignment I felt like I was spinning my wheels waiting for inspiration to strike, knowing what I want before I start means the inspiration that strikes mid-work might actual add to the value of the idea, rather than feel like nothing more than filler just to meet the requirements.

It feels so much better to be working on something that I actually want to make versus making something that I know I can make. I think this all or next to nothing approach to effort is why I might come across as stubborn when it comes to creative choices. I could probably have a lucrative noncreative writing career if I could just get past this need to feel fully engaged with what I am doing.

I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon though.

Oh well, I'm now done with my daily obligations time to go back to school!

Talk to you tomorrow,
