The greed in this world is so out of hand. Sure there's the big examples that you see on the news of corporations hoarding profits for management and investors while claiming "times are tough" in order to avoid sharing the wealth with the workers, but there are also little things where they nickel and dime the poor to  profit even more.

My work recently changed the company that handles their payroll. Today I was informed that they will be charging me $3.00 to cut a physical check. Sure I could opt for direct deposit to avoid this fee but right now I am so poor that I'm better off without a bank to avoid overdraft fees as well as other banking costs for not keeping a minimum balance, which is probably the case for a majority of the people that opt for a paper check.

Then, you go to the bank where they charge you $6.00 to cash said check. Then the bank bugs you to open an account to avoid being charged but the problems of being poor remain the same. It sucks that there are so many things in the world that run this way, systems that take advantage of people that don't have the power to do anything but bite the bullet and pay the service charges just to continue to scrap by.

It's really become a disappointing planet to be a part of and it doesn't seem like it's going to get better anytime soon even though we are living in the time of such potential. This is why I fully understand and am part of the group that is fine with the idea of a collapse in hopes that the above-mentioned potential will be met during the time that it takes to rebuild.

Oh well, there's my thought for the day.

Talk to you tomorrow,
