/Today's been kind of a frustrating day so far. Nothing too bad, just angry at technologyand poor customer service.
Last night I started to set up a new webpage using WordPress to complete an assignment for my web development course. Of course I'm going a bit overboard and purchased a nice theme and a fancy plug-in.
This plug-in claims that it allows you to do things without needing to know a thing about coding. The problem is my hosting service does not support one of the features. I contacted them and there is apparently a work-around but they told me I need to contact the plug-in's developer to point out the location of a file that needs to be swapped out.
Ready to go my ass.
I then went to find the help page for the plug-in only to see a disclaimer that it takes them 7 to 10 days to respond to a fix it ticket. I have the code the I need to copy and paste, I just need this plug-in company to point out where the file is that I need to edit but now I have to wait.
I've done some searches to do it myself but all I can see is the same answer, contact your hosting service, which leads me to a loop of frustration that I can't stand.
Oh well, hopefully they'll get back to me sooner than the estimation because I am not a happy customer.
As always, I'll let you know how it turns out.
