Dateline 5-12-2016

So I keep threatening to start a new segment on this site to take over these daily ramblings. Part of me wants to create content that is my relevant to a broader audience which would be pretty easy to accomplish as my current content is only relevant to me.

The problem is that I keep feeling the desire to turn this segment into an area where I comment on things like politics and the news. I'm sure my insights on who I plan to vote for and why may not be all that influential but I bet it was be better than me whining about my day to day life.

Then again, I feel the flood of everyone's political opinion is why I've grown to hate the world. Sure this is a year where we elect the "ruler of the free world," leading everyone to be a little extra political but the topic of conversation has been a growing trend ever since 9-11.

Don't get me wrong, I feel everyone should keep up with what our government is up to but the discussion seems to have devolved to the point where ever single issues turns into "us" vs "them" as if it were a football game and there actually was a way to win without the need for unity. 

There no longer seems to be any room for disagreement and unless you are 100% in agreement you are one of "them." Everything seems to have evolved to absolutes and I absolutely don't want any part of it.

So, it's back to the drawing board for me.  Some day I'll figure something out and as always, if/when I do I'll be sure to let you know.
