/I'm feeling exhausted today, like so exhausted I can barely focus.
Years ago, when I was at my heaviest, I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and had to sleep with one of those CPAP machines to keep you breathing throughout the night. After losing the weight I no longer had to use the machine because I no longer had the symptoms.
I'm not back up to around the same weight I was when I was initially diagnosed and have been noticing the symptoms returning over the past several month. Part of me was in denial while another part of me just didn't want to sleep with that thing on my face again.
Last night I decided it was time to give it another shot, so I it up and slept with my mask for the first time in a couple years (I used it back when I first started to gain the weight back that I managed to keep off for years.)
Though it was annoying I managed to make it through the night without taking off the mask. Once I get used to sleeping this way I can totally tell the difference but last night I don't think I slept for more than an hour at a time. It felt like I didn't sleep at all because I kept waking to adjust the stupid thing.
When I awoke I was surprised by the fact that it was later in the morning that I was expecting but I was also surprised by the fact that I felt like crap. As I said, I can usually feel the benefits but I think those benefits normally come after a full night's sleep with that thing on my face.
I'm hoping that once I get used to this thing again to the point where I can get a full night sleep wearing it, then I will have more energy to do more with my daily fitness routine leading me to get rid of this weight quicker so that I can go back to sleeping sans mask.
That's the dream at least. I'll keep you posted how it turns out.
Talk to you tomorrow,
