Of course this is happening right now.

Just yesterday I posted about how I felt better after a week of feeling physically drained to the point where I thought it might be an illness. I went on to finish the day feeling great and excited to sleep in my new bed. This morning I awoke to a coughing cold.

While I don't mind a sneezy/runny nose cold, I can't stand a coughing cold. One, as annoying as it can be, sneezing actually feels pretty good in a weird way. Second, cold meds seem to work better when it comes to solving a stuffy head. Coughs, on the other hand, seem to power through any cure and tear up my throat in the process.

Oh well, at least I have a valid excuse to take some cold meds to spend more time in my new bed!!!

As I also pointed out yesterday, I just received my new Purple Mattress and last night was my first slumber in my new bed. As a stomach or side sleeper, this mattress is the perfect blend of soft yet firm to be able to sleep no matter what position I find myself laid out.

I'm also a proud owner of a new bed frame that allows me to incline my new mattress into a lounge chair of sorts. Last night, by the time I was ready to hit the hay, I didn't feel the need to recline the bed back to the point where it was flat and do you know what?

I slept like a baby.

I did awake in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and when I returned to the bed I decided to give the flat mattress a shot. Now this has nothing to do with the mattress and I'm not sure if I just failed to properly configure my pillows to adjust to the change but I found the I liked the incline a little better.

Either way, I love my Purple Mattress and can't wait to get cold med drunk and test this thing out with my first sedated slumber!!!

I'll be sure to update you with the outcome in tomorrow's post.

Talk to you then,
